The fire from within
from the bottom
makes its way up
the sensitive tube

Sting and burn
the nerves freak out
sending a message
at 200 miles per hour

The muscles tighten
the teeth clench
the sweat beads
the pain surfaces

Why does this happen?
could it be
because I deserve it?
or something else.....

From wake to sleep
the esophageal vortex
erupts and sears
like bleach on a cut

Relief is when
food is thrown
down the hole
as it meets the

Same fate as my
stomach..............
a swirling cesspool
of turmoil

That has succumbed
to several years
of bombardment by the
wrath of my hunger

......and of my thirst......
