The rays funnel through the slits in the blinds.
I shrink from the light.
Time to get up.

The lights are off.
The fan is on.
The night has begun.

The Sun is falling.
The night air fills my lungs.
The sky is purple.
The night has begun.

Out into the night I go.
I go for a drive
and fuel myself with caffeine.
People are disappearing from the streets.

Time to feed.
I get on line
to eat charred flesh.

The rest of the
underbelly of society are
creeping into
existence.

Midnight.
The music is deafening.
Others, like me,
Roam the night in search of something else.....

More caffeine surges
through my veins.
My heart is beating
faster, faster, faster.....

Where is everyone?
Am I the only one
out right now?

Must get back. The sky is turning blue.
The birds see me
and call out all at once.

I roll into the driveway.
The house is dark.
The neighbors are readying
for a hard day's work.

The keys slam onto the dresser.
The Sun regains its strength.
I retire to my grave
only to return at 4:00.
