MOONBEAMS

The evening primrose grows in your light
The midday sunrise is much too bright
A ray of hope in despair
Shining in the cool autumn air

I want to see that moonbeam shine
Awaken the dying seed of this heart of mine
Simple pleasures, simple grace
And the beam of that smile in your face

Feel that warm glow wash over me
With every celestial vision I see
Every ray of your dark luminosity
Intensifies my morbid curiosity

A few moonbeams have given me life
Sunny rays bring only strife
The sun may damage my skin
I might die if I dont let one in
